Essential goods would not be able to reach their destinations without the help of shunt drivers and yard personnel. With COVID-19 continuing to cause disruption in our world, we are making necessary adjustments to ensure the link we represent in the supply chain of North America remains strong. 

 

Our team at National Shunt has created a COVID-19 Task Force to address the needs of our customers while keeping our employees safe from the spread of the virus. Here are the measures we have put in place to mitigate risk while continuing to deliver on our promise of operational excellence:

 

  • – Encouraging our driver force to ensure optimal hygiene and be aware of social distancing.
  • – Educating our team members on symptoms to watch out for and requiring employees to stay home if they are showing signs of any illness
  • – Placing a temporary moratorium on all non-essential travel and eliminating travel to high-risk areas
  • – Proactively cross training our workforce to ensure proper coverage for all of the essential businesses still operating within our network

 

National Shunt has always been a “roll up your sleeves” type of organization, and now more than ever, our team is dedicated to helping our customers weather the storm while still maintaining health and safety for ourselves and all those we interact with. 

 

Our entire team is focused on staying safe and preventing further disruption to the vital North American supply chain. We are monitoring the virus situation closely and our COVID-19 Task Force will continue to make necessary adjustments to our plan.
