Le COVID-19 continuait \u00e0 se propager et s'emparait \u00e9galement de notre cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement, exposant certains des maillons les plus faibles de l'industrie. Les p\u00e9nuries de bois et de main-d'\u0153uvre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 des th\u00e8mes communs en 2021, de m\u00eame que les d\u00e9lais d'ex\u00e9cution croissants dans tous les secteurs qui d\u00e9pendent du transport maritime. La question est de savoir ce qui a chang\u00e9 depuis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>De nombreuses p\u00e9nuries d'\u00e9quipements, de main-d'\u0153uvre et de mat\u00e9riaux persistent, tandis que des conflits mondiaux d'une ampleur nouvelle sont entr\u00e9s en jeu. Les ressources \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques sont devenues limit\u00e9es et le p\u00e9trole brut et les transports plus chers. \u00c0 mi-parcours de l'ann\u00e9e 2022, nous nous pr\u00e9parons \u00e0 une nouvelle ann\u00e9e (au moins) de fluctuations massives de la cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement et de pivotements strat\u00e9giques de la part des entreprises mondiales afin de rendre leurs activit\u00e9s moins vuln\u00e9rables \u00e0 la fluctuation du paysage mondial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La p\u00e9nurie de ch\u00e2ssis engorge les ports<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>L'encombrement des ports en cas de pand\u00e9mie a red\u00e9fini les d\u00e9lais d'exp\u00e9dition. Avant COVID-19, une cargaison immobilis\u00e9e dans le port pendant deux ou trois jours \u00e9tait consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme le pire des sc\u00e9narios. Aujourd'hui, ce n'est plus le cas, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hillebrand.com\/port-updates\"><span>Temps d'attente dans les ports en Am\u00e9rique du Nord<\/span><\/a><span> Les d\u00e9lais d'attente sont en moyenne de deux \u00e0 trois semaines, ce qui repr\u00e9sente une am\u00e9lioration par rapport aux trois mois d'attente observ\u00e9s l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Deux facteurs principaux jouent un r\u00f4le dans cette congestion portuaire incessante : les ch\u00e2ssis maritimes et les p\u00e9nuries de d\u00e9bardeurs. Ces deux facteurs continuent d'emp\u00eacher les ports de contenir leurs arri\u00e9r\u00e9s ou de maintenir un flux pr\u00e9visible de marchandises vers les centres de distribution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Les conducteurs de camions perdent la foi<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>Les chauffeurs routiers, qui constituent l'\u00e9pine dorsale du commerce \u00e9lectronique et de la vente au d\u00e9tail en Am\u00e9rique du Nord, sont peut-\u00eatre les plus touch\u00e9s par les perturbations de la cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement. Les flux d'importations et d'exportations nord-am\u00e9ricaines, autrefois stables, cr\u00e9aient un flux r\u00e9gulier de travail pour les chauffeurs routiers. Par cons\u00e9quent, de nombreux chauffeurs \u00e9taient fid\u00e8les \u00e0 leurs itin\u00e9raires. Aujourd'hui, ce n'est plus possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Entre les p\u00e9nuries de marchandises et les conflits commerciaux mondiaux, les \u00c9tats-Unis et le Canada se tournent vers d'autres sources pour les produits import\u00e9s, ce qui affecte les itin\u00e9raires des camions sur tout le continent. Le r\u00e9cent blocage par les \u00c9tats-Unis des cargaisons d'avocats en provenance du Mexique en est un exemple. La plupart des avocats sont import\u00e9s du Mexique par les ports du Texas et lorsque ces cargaisons g\u00e8lent, les itin\u00e9raires des camions qui distribuent ces avocats vers le nord g\u00e8lent \u00e9galement. Le manque de fiabilit\u00e9 de ces itin\u00e9raires a fait chuter le taux de r\u00e9tention des chauffeurs routiers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La grande d\u00e9mission se poursuit<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>\u00c0 l'instar des chauffeurs routiers, les travailleurs de tous les corps de m\u00e9tier r\u00e9\u00e9valuent leurs priorit\u00e9s. L'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, les travailleurs ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 quitter leur emploi par millions \u00e0 la recherche de meilleures opportunit\u00e9s, une tendance qui continue de gagner du terrain. Dans la derni\u00e8re enqu\u00eate sur les offres d'emploi et la rotation de la main-d'\u0153uvre, le Bureau am\u00e9ricain des statistiques du travail indique que 4,5 millions de travailleurs ont volontairement quitt\u00e9 leur emploi en mars 2022 - la plus grande vague \u00e0 ce jour de la Grande D\u00e9mission.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Les conflits mondiaux entra\u00eenent des co\u00fbts impr\u00e9vus<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>La r\u00e9action mondiale au conflit entre l'Ukraine et la Russie cr\u00e9e une p\u00e9nurie de certains produits de base et fait grimper le co\u00fbt du p\u00e9trole brut et du transport. Dans le m\u00eame temps, les droits de douane et les taxes impos\u00e9s par l'Asie sur les conteneurs maritimes depuis l'ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, ainsi que les r\u00e9glementations commerciales des gouvernements (comme le gel temporaire des importations d'avocats par les \u00c9tats-Unis), contribuent \u00e0 l'inflation que nous connaissons aujourd'hui. Et ces co\u00fbts impr\u00e9vus frappent durement les op\u00e9rations de transport et de fabrication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">L'avenir de notre cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.joc.com\/trucking-logistics\/trucking-equipment\/tpm22-marine-chassis-shortage-last-2023_20220304.html\"><span>Pr\u00e9visions \u00e0 partir de fin 2021<\/span><\/a><span> a pr\u00e9dit que nos ports commenceraient \u00e0 se redresser en 2022, mais cette estimation d\u00e9pend fortement d'une augmentation de la production de ch\u00e2ssis maritimes et d'une main-d'\u0153uvre plus robuste dans tous les domaines. Il ne fait aucun doute que l'ajout d'\u00e9quipements portuaires contribuera \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les difficult\u00e9s li\u00e9es au transport maritime, mais la question est de savoir dans quel d\u00e9lai les ports pourront commencer \u00e0 recevoir ces nouveaux \u00e9quipements. La plupart des fabricants de ch\u00e2ssis se trouvent en Chine et, entre les r\u00e9centes p\u00e9nuries de main-d'\u0153uvre et les fermetures de COVID-19 \u00e0 Shanghai et dans d'autres villes, la promesse de nouvelles exp\u00e9ditions de ch\u00e2ssis marins vers l'Am\u00e9rique du Nord a \u00e9t\u00e9 repouss\u00e9e \u00e0 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>La congestion des ports, les probl\u00e8mes de main-d'\u0153uvre et les d\u00e9fis du commerce mondial n'\u00e9tant pas en vue, d'autres secteurs industriels prennent des mesures. Pour de nombreuses entreprises, une cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement plus r\u00e9siliente commence par la \"relocalisation\" des op\u00e9rations afin d'\u00eatre moins d\u00e9pendantes des fabricants de longue distance.
